FAQ

Common questions

Is my data safe?
Yes. Your data is stored in a private PostgreSQL database, accessible only to your account. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and sessions are secured with JWT tokens. Your financial data is never shared or sold.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Nothing important — your data is saved on the server, not just in your browser. Simply log back in on any browser and your full dashboard will be there, exactly as you left it.
Can I use it on multiple devices?
Yes. Because your data is stored in your account, you can log in from any device — phone, tablet, laptop — and see your complete, up-to-date dashboard.
Does it work offline?
An internet connection is required to log in and sync your data. Changes are cached briefly in your browser, but a connection is needed to load and save your account data.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. Prism Finance is a responsive web app that works on mobile browsers. The layout adapts to smaller screens — the sidebar collapses and grids stack to a single column.
How does the demo data work?
On first login with an empty account, the app seeds realistic sample data so you can explore all features immediately. Clear it any time from the sidebar settings.
